This website is an attempt to ensure Wilhelm is not forgotten and to present his artwork and some background on who he was and his life.

Wilhelm (Willy) came to Canada from Norway in 1957 and spent the rest of his life between Ontario, Northern BC and the Calgary area. If you spent any time in the Kananaskis Lakes area in the 70's or 80's, you may recall seeing his dark green International pickup truck with homemade camper on the back parked in one of his favorite spots. What made it stand out was the camper was home made and covered in hand painted murals. He drove out from Calgary to spend 2 - 3 weeks at a time enjoying the place he loved.

We have had individuals and family members submit photos of some of his art work, and they have been added under the galleries page and on the Wilhelm Raade Facebook page.
